Lenox Chamber Office Coordinator
Part time, permanent: 24 hours per week
Hours: Wed-Sat, 10 am-4 pm (sometimes Sunday)

Salary: $16-$18/hr based on experience
Job Description
Overview
The Lenox Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center has a threefold mission. First, we support and promote our paid Chamber members. Lenox and the Berkshires have a vibrant cultural scene, especially (but not exclusively) during the summer. Tanglewood, Shakespeare & Company, regional theaters, galleries and museums support the lodging, retail and restaurant sectors.
Secondly, The Chamber, in partnership with the Lenox Cultural District and the Town of Lenox, creates year-round programming that draws visitors to town. (Lenox Art Walks, #LenoxLovesMusic!, Winterland, Apple Squeeze, Farmer’s Market, etc.)
Thirdly, we share with our visitors what is special and unique about what the town offers with in-person conversations and by utilizing our marketing tools such as the printed visitor guide, the App Explore Lenox, the weekly E-Blast newsletter, website, social media channels, signage and print collateral.
Job Responsibilities
-Greeting and interacting with visitors. (Answering questions, directing them to printed materials, (visitors guide, brochures) and our App, Explore Lenox.
-Answering the phone and assisting potential visitors. When appropriate, capturing their email and/or directing them to our website and asking if they’d like to subscribe to our newsletter, which has the most up-to-date event news.
-Assisting with administrative duties and general tasks as requested by the Director or Creative Services Manager: Typing, emailing, organizing information or different areas of the visitor center, keeping things tidy, removing/recycling outdated print collateral, wiping down surfaces, taking out the trash/recycling when needed.
-Assistance when required for the Lenox Farmer’s Market. (Market runs on Fridays, May 27-Oct 1).
-Social media posting, one per day.
-Special event support (some weekends, approximately 5 x per year).
Education, Skills & Experience
-Excellent writing and proofreading skills
-Soft skills: helpful, informative, polite and welcoming
-Comfortable and proficient with Google Suite and Windows platform
-Comfortable with social media posting, ideally with the Hootsuite software and via the Instagram phone app, as needed
