The Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum is a volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the rich railroading heritage of Western Massachusetts through historical exhibits and vintage equipment restoration. The museum is headquartered at the historic Lenox Station, a beautifully restored 1903 depot that serves as a seasonal museum and home to much of the organization’s collection. Additionally, the museum operates its popular Hoosac Valley Service out of Adams, offering narrated train excursions focused on the history and heritage of the railroad on restored vintage railroad equipment between Adams and North Adams.
Looking for a venue or an experience that departs from the ordinary? The Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum offers a unique blend of Gilded Age elegance and scenic adventure that you won’t find anywhere else in the region.
