Janet Pumphrey is a fine art photographer who opened the Janet Pumphrey Gallery in June 2020. While photography is a representational medium, Pumphrey’s photography moves beyond the inherent realism in traditional photography to see the world in a new and more creative way. The photographs in the Gallery present multiple exposed cityscapes, landscapes, and images that are at times painterly and impressionistic and at times stark, reflective, and architectural.
